Bluetooth and Nearby Devices permissions
Unspied needs the platform's Bluetooth/Nearby Devices access to observe nearby Bluetooth Low Energy broadcasts and perform supported privacy analysis.
Android location and nearby Wi-Fi permissions
Depending on your Android version, full Bluetooth and local-network discovery can require location or nearby Wi-Fi permission. Unspied does not use this to obtain or upload GPS coordinates and does not request Android background-location access.
Basic access
You can use Unspied without a subscription. Basic includes 3 starter Scan sessions, then 1 Scan per rolling 24 hours (up to 60 seconds), Privacy Mode up to 10 minutes per rolling 24 hours, Finder up to 2 minutes per rolling 24 hours, 1 Deep Check per rolling 48 hours, and up to 2 Known Devices.
Optional Pro subscription
Monthly and Yearly unlock the same Unspied Pro entitlement. Pro removes Basic usage limits and unlocks advanced details, evidence, and diagnostics. Unspied Pro 1.1.1 has no free trial; confirming a plan can charge the displayed Apple App Store or Google Play price immediately.
Cancel, restore, or manage a subscription
Use Restore purchases if a current entitlement is not showing. Use Manage subscription to open the applicable Apple or Google subscription-management page. Cancelling stops future renewal according to the storefront's rules.
Local network access
Deep Check can inspect supported services advertised on the local network using discovery mechanisms made available by the operating system. Results are interpreted locally on your device.
What does “Unknown” mean?
Unspied does not claim that an unidentified device is recording. Device identity and recording state can remain unknown when the radio evidence is insufficient.
No clues found?
A clear scan does not guarantee that a space is free of cameras, microphones, trackers, smart glasses, or other recording devices. Some devices do not expose discoverable Bluetooth or network services.
How Unspied interprets results
Bluetooth names, manufacturer identifiers, signal strength, advertised services, discovered GATT services, and local-network advertisements can provide useful clues.
A vendor identifier does not by itself prove a specific device model, purpose, camera capability, recording state, exact distance, or direction. Unspied intentionally uses conservative wording to avoid presenting a clue as proof.
