Overview

Unspied is designed to perform supported wireless scanning and analysis locally on your device. The app does not require an Unspied account or a Unspied cloud service to perform its scanning functions.

Unspied can be used with included Basic access without purchasing a subscription. Optional Unspied Pro removes Basic usage limits and unlocks advanced details, evidence, and diagnostics.

1. Information processed on your device

To provide its scanning features, Unspied may process wireless observations visible to your device, including:

• Bluetooth Low Energy advertisements;
• advertised device names, when available;
• Bluetooth manufacturer identifiers and service UUIDs;
• approximate Bluetooth signal strength (RSSI);
• supported GATT service and product-identity information during Deep Check;
• supported local-network discovery information visible to your device.

2. Data collection by Unspied

Unspied does not transmit your nearby-device scan observations to a Unspied server. We do not operate an account system or scanning backend for the current release.

We do not sell scan data, use scan data for advertising, or use scan data to track you across apps or websites.

3. Local storage

App preferences and product state may be stored locally on your device, including your selected language, onboarding state, Known Devices choices, and Basic usage timestamps. Local app data may be removed when the app or its local data is deleted.

4. Bluetooth, Nearby Devices, Wi-Fi, and Android location permissions

Unspied requests only the platform permissions needed for the scanning feature you use. On Android, full Bluetooth and nearby-network discovery may require Bluetooth/Nearby Devices, nearby Wi-Fi, and location permissions depending on the Android version and device.

Unspied does not use these permissions to obtain or upload GPS coordinates and does not request Android background-location permission. Denying a permission may reduce or prevent the related scan capability.

5. Local network access

When you start Deep Check, Unspied may inspect supported services advertised on the same local network using discovery mechanisms made available by the operating system. The resulting scan interpretation remains local to the device.

6. No precise-location claim

Bluetooth signal strength is approximate and can be affected by walls, people, interference, device orientation, radio conditions, and other factors. Unspied does not present RSSI as an exact distance or direction.

7. Device identification and recording state

A Bluetooth company identifier, device name, wireless service, or other protocol clue does not necessarily identify an exact physical device or model.

Unspied does not treat a wireless clue as proof that recording is occurring. Recording state may remain unknown.

8. Detection limitations

Unspied does not guarantee detection of all cameras, microphones, smart glasses, trackers, recording devices, or other privacy-relevant devices. Some devices may not advertise discoverable Bluetooth or local-network information, may be powered off, may use unsupported protocols, or may otherwise be invisible to the available scanning methods.

9. Basic access and Unspied Pro

Basic remains usable without a purchase and currently includes:

• 3 starter Scan sessions, then 1 Scan per rolling 24 hours, up to 60 seconds per Scan;
• 1 Finder session per rolling 24 hours, up to 2 minutes;
• 1 Privacy Mode session per rolling 24 hours, up to 10 minutes;
• 1 Deep Check per rolling 48 hours;
• up to 2 Known Devices.

Optional Unspied Pro removes these app usage limits and unlocks advanced device details, evidence, and diagnostics.

10. Payments and subscriptions

On iOS, Apple processes App Store subscription purchases. On Android, Google Play processes Google Play subscription purchases. Monthly and Yearly are auto-renewing subscription options for the same Unspied Pro entitlement and differ by billing period and storefront price.

Unspied Pro 1.1.1 does not configure or advertise a free trial. Basic already provides free ongoing access with usage limits, so Pro is a direct paid upgrade. When you confirm Monthly or Yearly, the applicable storefront can charge the displayed standard price immediately.

Apple and Google process payment, renewal, cancellation, refund, and billing information under their own policies. Unspied does not receive or store payment-card details.

Customers who verifiably obtained an earlier paid production iOS version of Unspied may retain legacy access under the migration policy implemented in the app.

11. Third-party platform services

Distribution and billing through Apple App Store, TestFlight, and Google Play are subject to those platforms' own services and privacy practices. Information processed independently by Apple or Google is governed by their applicable policies and is not controlled by Unspied.

12. Children's privacy

Unspied does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Unspied account or backend service because the current app does not operate such services.

13. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if Unspied's functionality or data practices change. The current version will remain available at this URL.
